Here in Seattle at Bedrooms & More, a fair-sized contingent of our customer base are allergy sufferers.
It’s no surprise, really: the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology reports that “worldwide, sensitization to foreign proteins in the environment is present in up to 40% of the population.” That’s a lot of red, runny eyes, sniffly noses, and scratchy skin!
Because we specialize in hypoallergenic bedding — made from fibers known to cause fewer allergic reactions than other fibers — we can confidently match our allergy-prone customers with mattresses, pillows, and top of bed products that will give them a more restful and irritant-free sleep.
An allergy-free sleep experience starts with your mattress
Whether you let your dog sleep on the bed with you or not is a personal matter. No matter what, make sure your mattress supports the healthiest hypoallergenic sleep possible.
FIND A NATURAL OR ORGANIC MATTRESSWe also know that many people don’t like to sleep alone — or live alone. A furry friend can make life so much sweeter. Whether or not you decide to share your sleep surface with your canine companion or let him/her sleep in a Natural Latex Pet Bed, as an allergy sufferer you want to make sure your dog is dander-compatible with you and your family.

As for dogs, do you know any reliable resource where one can find all the local dog kennels?
This website is great! I’m doing an excel project on dog breeds and one column is weather the dog is a hypoallergenic dog or not. It’s really helpful!
People are allergic to their dander, there is no dog without skin? How can they be called hypoallergenic?
Hi, Denise. While it’s true that scientifically, there is no such thing as a ‘hypoallergenic’ dog breed, this is the common, shorthand way people use to describe dogs whose dander and skin is much less likely to cause allergic reactions in people. (And this is the term people use online when searching for such a dog.) This is why allergy sufferers often choose these dogs.
I have allergies. How about a Boston Terrier?.
Boston Terrier is not hypoallergenic.
What about a Teddy Roosevelt Terrier?
A Teddy Roosevelt Terrier is not hypoallergenic.
shelters have all sorts of non allergic dogs. there are over 50,000 homeless prts on petfinder, a site dedicated to shelter animals. why not give one a home rather than supporting puppy mills.
How about Cairn Terrier/Chihuahua mix?
I know Cairn Terrier are hypoallergenic and Chihuahua are not.
Which tend to be dominant over the other?
