Each piece of furniture is handcrafted in Portland, Oregon. By keeping production local, Biltwell helps reduce carbon emissions while supporting regional resources. Their frames are built from responsibly sourced Northwest alder, and even the cushion foam is produced locally.

Biltwell takes a mindful approach to manufacturing. Their seat springs are made from recycled steel, and cushion batting is created from recycled plastic bottles. Wood scraps, sawdust, and excess materials are repurposed or recycled whenever possible, significantly reducing waste. The brand also offers a growing selection of environmentally responsible fabrics, including options made with recycled fibers and low-impact dyes.

BRONCO Protected Leather (6 Colors)

Bronco is a protected leather known for its exceptionally soft, supple feel. Expertly finished in Italy using advanced techniques and time-honored craftsmanship, it delivers a timeless look that suits a wide range of applications. A subtle sheen enhances its rich surface, while the pigmented finish helps resist scratches and everyday wear—making Bronco as durable as it is refined.

SADDLE Semi-Aniline Leather (6 Colors)

Saddle is a semi-aniline leather characterized by its subtle waxed, crackled texture. Crafted in Italy using advanced techniques and traditional expertise, it’s well-suited for residential settings. The leather offers a smooth, silky hand and a soft matte finish, while its construction helps resist scratches and ensures consistent color from one hide to the next.

SEDONA Premium Full Aniline Leather (6 Colors)

Sedona is a full aniline, vacuum-dried pull-up leather that highlights the natural beauty of the hide. It features a soft, buttery feel and a subtle two-tone effect, offered in rich, dimensional colors. True to aniline leathers, Sedona will develop character over time, showing natural markings, color variation, and signs of wear that enhance its lived-in appeal. If you prefer a more uniform look with greater resistance to wear, Bronco or Saddle are excellent alternatives.

Biltwell's Cleaning Codes Explained:

W - Water Based Cleaners

To prevent overall soiling, frequent vacuuming or light brushing to remove dust and grime is recommended. Spot clean using the foam only from a water-based cleaning agent such as mild detergent or non-solvent upholstery shampoo. Apply foam with a soft rag or brush in a circular motion. Vacuum when dry. Always pretest a small area before proceeding.

S - Solvent or Dry Cleaning Products

To prevent overall soiling, frequent vacuuming or light brushing to remove dust and grime is recommended. Spot clean using a mild, water-free solvent or dry cleaning product. Clean only in a well ventilated room and avoid any product containing carbon tetrachloride, which is highly toxic. Pretest small area before proceeding.

WS - Solvent and/or Water Based Cleaners

To prevent overall soiling, frequent vacuuming or light brushing to remove dust and grime is recommended. Spot clean with a mild solvent, an upholstery shampoo or the foam from a mild detergent. When using a solvent or dry cleaning product, follow instructions carefully and clean only in a well ventilated room. With either method, pretreat a small area before proceeding.

X - Vacuum or Brush Only

Clean this fabric only by vacuuming or light brushing to prevent accumulation or dust and grime. Water-based foam cleaners or solvent based cleaning agents of any kind may cause excessive shrinking, staining, or distortion of the surface pileand therefore should not be used.
