Azara Platform Bed

The Azara Platform Bed by Greenington made of solid bamboo is a completely sustainable furniture piece. It features sleek mid-century styling, clean lines, and angled tapered legs. Additionally, the elegant sweeping headboard shows off a beautiful accent panel crafted in Tiger bamboo.

The Azara platform bed is designed for use with a mattress only, which is supported with a solid bamboo European slat system, which lock into place. The solid bamboo slat system eliminates the need for a box spring, and provides constant ventilation for your mattress, with generous space for storage under the bed frame. Greenington’s tough metal to metal connecting hardware withstands multiple bed assemblies with ease.

Shown in both light Caramelized and rich Sable finishes with Tiger stripe accents. Particularly, Tiger combines the light and dark bamboo, creating a unique and beautifully striped grain with continuous colors throughout. In fact, no two pieces are exactly alike. Variation in grain and color enriches the natural beauty of bamboo furniture and makes each piece unique. Given that, slight differences in bamboo colors are signs that the furniture has been crafted from solid bamboo and is considered a benchmark of quality. Made in an ISO 14001 Environment Management certified facility, your purchase of this environmentally friendly bamboo product helps support forests and ecosystems worldwide.

Care and Maintenance for your Greenington Furniture

All Greenington furniture is made of 100% natural bamboo. It is very hard, dense and extremely durable. Like any natural hardwood furniture, maintaining the humidity in a controlled environment is also very important for bamboo furniture. Keeping the relative humidity in the range of 40 to 55 percent will greatly reduce the potential for any checking or warping, allowing you to better preserve the natural beauty of the pieces. Here are some general tips that'll go a long way towards maintaining and caring for your new furniture pieces.

Damage Prevention

Use coasters and pads to prevent damage from heat, moisture or heavy objects.

Do not use wax or polish on your bamboo furniture.

To prevent staining or water marks, make sure to clean spills immediately, using a dabbing motion with a soft cloth.

Cleaning Tips

For periodic cleaning use a soft cloth and a gentle cleaner designed for wood furniture.

Avoid cleaners that contain abrasive materials, oil, acidic or caustic ingredients or any other harsh chemicals.

Things to Avoid

Scratches: To avoid scratches, take care to lift objects and never drag or slide them across surfaces.

Heat: Avoid placing furniture directly in front of heat vents, wood burning stoves or other heat sources.

Sun: Never place bamboo furniture in direct sunlight day after day.
