Got something to discuss?
It is a Certipur polyurethane foam. It will off-gas. Because it is the Certipur foam, it will be much less than most plastic foam, but present nonetheless. We have many mattresses with no plastic foams, including the Haleakala Plush and Pillow Top, that would be comfort-wise in the same category as this, and without off-gassing poly foams.
What do you mean by “off-gas”? How long does this process last? How much does this mattress weigh in full size? Thank you
“Off-gas” means the emissions that come off a material. Usually it’s accompanied by a smell. What Blake was talking about is the Haleakala that is almost the same mattress as the discovery but carries our all natural botanical latex instead of the soy foam. The process for off-gassing varies but because we use a Certi-pur standard it’s on the low-end and I would say about a day or two. This Mattress in Full size is 69 pounds.
