Washable Wool Mattress Pad
Temperature regulation is important for restful sleep and our Washable Wool Mattress Pad is by far one of our most popular products to help balance your body temp. Did you know the average human can perspire a pint or more each night? Moisture can affect whether you’re hot and sweaty or cold and clammy. Wool is a great choice for bedding due to its natural ability to absorb moisture. Interesting fact, wool can hold up to 1/3 of its weight in water without feeling wet to the touch. Meaning with wool, any perspiring you do during your sleep is no longer against your skin, causing your temperature to swing. Other bonus benefits of wool; its naturally hypoallergenic, and antimicrobial.
Our Washable Wool Mattress Pad is encased top and bottom with 100% Cotton and 100% Belgian Lambswool on the inside. We rinse the Lambswool in hydrogen peroxide and then card it in the same direction before quilting, which makes it fully machine washable. The mattress pad also features deep corner pockets for easy dressing. Coupled with a full perimeter elastic for the stay-taut, smooth surface you need. It’s 100% cotton skirt is also finished with an elastic draw for a long-lasting fit.
Note: Washable Wool Mattress Pads arrive oversized, as they’ve been designed to ‘shrink to fit’ in one or two washing cycles.
Tip
We recommend pairing this product with our Down Comforter or the Light Down Comforter if you already sleep warm.

FAQ
Question: What process or chemicals has the wool in your washable wool products undergone so it doesn’t felt during washing?
Answer: The wool filling in our washable wool products is bathed in hydrogen peroxide to strip scales from the wool, while maintaining its natural wicking benefits. This process assures we deliver the cleanest, low maintenance product possible without using bleach or plasticizing the wool.

This is a fantastic wool mattress pad! I wanted to upgrade my bed linens to 100% natural (and organic when possible) materials, but it is hard to find that with a mattress pad. Most mattress pads have some sort of polyester fill or backing. After discovery this wool mattress pad, I ordered it and could not be more pleased with it. I don’t know how to measure this, but I think it regulates/ dissipates the heat well too. I highly recommend it!

Gayle and Donald Harris –
We have purchased a couple of mattresses, bamboo sheets, wool pillow, and wool mattress cover. We have enjoyed all of their products. We thought we were having a problem with our mattress, it turned out to be
something that we did with the frame, but they were so willing in helping us solve the problem. They really
stand behind their products, and are super nice, and professional in wanting to give good service.

We’ve bought water beds, from Bedrooms and More, regular spring mattresses, from Bedrooms and More, and now a latex mattress, from Bedrooms and More, and have loved every product. When you find a company that is not only local and family owned, but also is consistent in providing top quality products, why go anywhere else? When we got the latex mattress four years or so ago, we added the washable wool mattress pad and it really elevated the sleeping experience year round. We LOVE the pad and continue to be huge fans of the store and its people.

Great addition to our Woodland Park King mattress … I’ve always had a wool topper … this one is washable and feels great to lie on.

This is a great mattress protector for our Vispring mattress. You can’t even tell it is there. Plus, the customer service at Bedrooms and More can’t be beat.

I’ve had this mattress pad for a few years now and it is comfortable and does a good job of helping me keep cool at night. I am disappointed, though, because the quilted wool top part has shrunk considerably, even though I have only ever washed it in cold water and dried it on low heat. The cotton sides and elastic still hold by wrapping under the mattress without trouble, but the quilted top now only comes to about a few inches from the corners of the mattress and midway down the bed, the quilted part is probably 8+ inches from the sides of the mattress, making the quilted area look almost like an hourglass. I know wool will often shrink some, but this seems to be more excessive than I would expect from an investment like this cover.
AF –
This mattress pad is uncomfortable, has numerous wrinkles that are impossible to get out, and has a low thread count. Also expensive. Would not recommend it.

I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy the pad. It has been one of our most popular items for more than a decade. Your credit was issued, and I hope you can give the pad to someone that can enjoy it more than you did.
